| A male driver apparently determined not to be caught was being pursued by the WV State Police and the Calhoun Sheriff's Department starting about 8:30 p.m.Tuesday.
Cpl. Jeff Hunt of the State Police followed the driver up Pink Road off US 33-119 about 9 p.m. in hot pursuit in what appeared to be a slow speed chase, the subject then traveling back into Roane County in the Orchard Run/Otto area.
Other officers were assisting in the chase.
Reports indicated that a tire came off the individuals vehicle and he ran into the woods, about an hour or so after the chase started.
