Maria Lani (Carpenter) Hammonds, 52, of Spencer WV, passed away at home on Friday, September 24, 2021.
She was born on August 5, 1969 at Jackson General in West Virginia, a daughter of Jerry Carpenter of Spencer and the late Wanda Carpenter of Hawaii.
In addition to her father, she is survived by her husband of 33 years, Eric Hammonds of Spencer; son Jason (Raven) Hammonds of Spencer; two sisters, Catchy (Bryan) Church and Mischell Hersman both of Spencer; two nieces, Megan (Cody) Springston and Cassidy Church both of Spencer; two nephews, Dylan (Jade) Hersman of Spencer and Jackson Hammonds of Newton WV; and two grandchildren, Alaina Hammonds and Alexis Hammonds both of Spencer.
In addition to her mother, she is preceded in death by her brother, Roger Gaspar of Hawaii and brother-in-law Roger Hersman of Spencer.
A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, October 2, 2021 at the Taylor-Vandale Funeral Home in Spencer from 2 to 4 p.m.
