Monday, new records for COVID-19 have been set for West Virginia, 852 hospitalizations, 267 people in the ICU and 164 on ventilators - all pandemic highs.
Calhoun, according to the Monday report, has 26 new cases, with a number of them reportedly in intensive care and on ventilators.
Last Friday, Calhoun hit a record high with 37 new cases reported.
Calhoun appeared to have 245 new cases during the previous 14 days.
Most new Calhoun cases are among children and affecting the 30-50 age group.
WV DHHR confirms 1,417 new COVID-19 cases, 31 additional deaths on Monday, with previous daily reports in excess of 2,000 daily.
Gov. Jim Justices says less that one-half of one percent of residents vaccinated are "crossover" cases, getting the virus.
The DHHR reports there have been 3,597,992 (+53,861) total confirmatory laboratory results received for COVID-19, with 211,706 (+5,923 since Friday) total cases and 3,238 (+31) total deaths.
A 50-year-old Roane man has died from COVID.
