The West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources confirmed 1,632 new COVID-19 cases and eleven additional deaths in its report on Sept. 2.
Calhoun has 26 new cases Thursday, with the state saying most are with children and the non-vaccinated.
Calhoun Schools have 63 students with COVID-19 since school opened, in addition to nine teachers and four service personnel.
Last week, Calhoun appeared to have new active cases at 38, with 125 new cases during the past twelve days. There are a number of other individuals from Calhoun with the active disease not in these numbers.
Calhoun has a low vaccination rate.
According to the DHHR dashboard, there are currently 18,177 active cases.
