HUNTINGTON MURDER -Huntington Police responded Friday night to a deadly shooting in the city that killed one person and injured multiple others, the Huntington Police Department confirms.
It happened in the the area of Oney Avenue and Davis Street where Huntington Police confirm a victim was dead at the scene. Three other people were shot at that location, but their condition is unknown at this time.
Another shooting was reported along 27th Street, but it was later said to be unfounded.
An ambulance left the the Davis Street scene and a large area was cordoned off with police tape.
The Huntington Police Department, the Huntington Fire Department and Cabell County Emergency Medical Services are all at the scene along Oney Avenue.
CHILD SHOT - An 8-year-old child was shot in the foot Friday afternoon by a 5-year-old, deputies say.
The Kanawha County Sheriffâs Department is investigating after the children got their hands on an old gun.
The incident happened in the Coopers Creek area.
According to the KCSD, the child arrived at Thomas Memorial Hospital around 4 p.m. Friday with the injury.
The incident is being called an accident. It is not clear at this time if any charges will be filed.
