West Virginia health officials reported seven new COVID-19 deaths and 925 new positive cases over the last 24 hours.
Calhoun has nine new cases during the past week, with almost 9,000 active cases in WV.
Ad hoc polling in WV says about 60+ percent of respondents to not want school children to wear masks.
Currently, the official battle against COVID-19 in West Virginia is to allow all 55 county school systems decide about masks, hardly a scientific effort against the pandemic which is raging again in WV.
That position appears to be pandering to political supporters, not fighting the disease.

As for hospitalizations, 428 people were in hospitals with COVID, including 131 in intensive care and 49 on ventilators.

COVID-19 recoveries were at 165,720.
Delta variant cases of the coronavirus were at 469, likely under reported.
The stateâs data shows 0.39% of fully vaccinated people in the state have gotten COVID. The data also shows 0.007% of those who are fully vaccinated have died from the virus.
