More than 400 COVID-19 patients are currently hospitalized in West Virginia, according to the latest update from state health officials.
The DHHR also reported seven new COVID-19 deaths and 820 new positive cases over the last 24 hours.
Yesterday 1,339 new cases.
Calhoun has eight new cases since last Friday.
There were 7,579 active cases Wednesday.
The stateâs cumulative positive test rate was at 5.01%. The daily positive test rate decreased from 11.26% Tuesday to 7.30% Wednesday.
COVID-19 recoveries were at 165,062.
Delta variant cases of the coronavirus were at 458, largely under reported.
The stateâs data shows 0.36% of fully vaccinated people in the state have gotten COVID. The data also shows 0.007% of those who are fully vaccinated have died from the virus.
