West Virginia health officials reported two new COVID-19 deaths Wednesday and 382 new positive cases.
Hospitalizations increased from 178 on Tuesday to 185 Wednesday. There were 70 COVID patients in intensive care and 26 on ventilators. Active cases were at 2,848.
The stateâs cumulative positive test rate remained at 4.94% Wednesday. The daily positive test rate decreased from 7.26% Tuesday to 5.72% Wednesday.
There were 118 confirmed cases of the Delta variant in the state as of Tuesday. The number was unchanged Wednesday morning.
