MINNIE HAMILTON REVIEWING ROANE GENERAL'S CON APPLICATION FOR ARNOLDSBURG CLINIC

(08/04/2021)
PRESS RELEASE

Minnie Hamilton Health System (MHHS) is in the process of reviewing the Certificate Of Need (CON) filed by Roane General Hospital for relocation of a Rural Health Clinic (RHC) to Arnoldsburg.

MHHS currently operates a school based health clinic at the Arnoldsburg Elementary School, which will continue, and we have been working diligently, although slowed down by the pandemic, on a Arnoldsburg Community project that includes an addition of a community clinic as well as many other community economic opportunities, in renovations and expansion of the “Old” Arnoldsburg Elementary School.

Working along with many community members and especially the Calhoun County Livestock Program, we have submitted and received approval from the Health Resources & Services Administration (HRSA) as an approved location.

We are awaiting final acceptance and approval by the Livestock Program and MHHS Board to proceed with this tremendous community project.

We are certainly excited about all the opportunities that Arnoldsburg and our community members will have, including expansion of access to services.

Roane’s announcement is exciting news for the communities that we all serve, and having multiple opportunities is beneficial to our region.

This announcement does not change MHHS’s commitment to the Arnoldsburg Project and the community members that we have and will continue to faithfully serve.
