Three new coronavirus deaths and 665 new positive cases were reported on Monday by health officials in West Virginia, as West Virginia schools are set to reopen.
Hospitalizations increased from 147 on Friday to 152 Monday. There were 67 COVID patients in intensive care and 20 on ventilators. Active cases were at 2,480.
The stateâs cumulative positive test rate remained at 4.93%. The daily positive test rate increased from 6.20% Friday to 6.41% Monday.
COVID-19 recoveries were at 162,252 in the latest update.
There were 100 confirmed cases of the Delta variant in the state as of Friday. The data had not been updated since Friday.
