The West Virginia Division of Natural Resources will be conducting a spotlight survey to estimate deer numbers in the area.
The survey will be conducted during the period from August 2nd. through August 30th. - OR - August 30th. through September 13th. 2021.
Surveys will begin 1/2 hour after sunset and will take several hours to complete. The survey is part of the West Virginia White-tailed Deer Management Plan.
It will not involve any collecting of live or dead animals. It will not involve personnel entering your property. Visual sighting information will be collected from the roads using state vehicles searching adjacent fields and woods with spotlights.
