| Widespread thick smoke from massive wildfires out west has spread all across the Eastern U.S. and is posing a heath hazard for sensitive groups.
Calhoun and regional counties had a smoky haze across their hills Tuesday.
People with severe asthma or breathing difficulties, those who are elderly and young children were encouraged to stay inside.
Smoke will remain thick into Wednesday morning before a cold front passage results in a wind shift to the north that pushes the smoke to our south by late in the day. That should lead to much better air quality by Thursday with a bluer sky and little to no haze.
Smoke may begin to increase again by late week and this weekend.
