Harold L. Jensen, 82, of Arnoldsburg, formerly of Carmichaels, Pa.,
died March 5, 2001, in Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown.
He was born Jan. 30, 1919, in Ginter, Pa., a son of the late Kristian
S. and Mary Peterson Jensen.
Mr. Jenses retired as plant manager from Valley Camp Coal Co.,
Shrewsbury, W.Va., in 1985 He was a U.S. Navy veteran serving in World
War II. When he lived in Carmichaels, he served as a Sunday school
teacher at the Greene Valley Presbyterian Church of Charmichaels. He
enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and gun making.
His wife, Lizzie Lake Adams Jensen, whom he married in 1945, died
April 17, 1991.
Surviving are a son, Hanley Jensen of Spencer, W.Va.; grandchildren,
Tod H. Jensen, Kristian S. Jensen, Chad Erik Jensen, Beth Ann Jensen
and Sherry Lake Jensen; three great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law and
caregiver, Debora A. Jensen, with whom he made his home; several
nieces and nephews.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by sons,
Harold Leroy Jensen and Alan L. Jensen, and brothers, Britton Jenson,
who died in childhood, Walter L. Jensen, Loraine E. Jensen and Carl E.
Jenson.
Service will be 1 p.m. Thursday, March 8, at Yoskovich Funeral Home,
300 South Vine St. (Route 88) Carmichaels, Pa., with the Rev. Harold
O. Kelley officiating. Burial will be in Greene County Memorial
Park.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at
Yoskovich Funeral Home, Carmichaels, Pa.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Building
Fund, Greene Valley Presbyterian Church, P.O. Box 363, Carmichaels, PA
