| 7/1/2021 - The WV Fire Marshal is investigating a house fire in a remote
hollow off Lovada Road Thursday.
Authorities indicated the fire could be of suspicious origin, going to the scene to investigate.
The house was fully engulfed when the incident was reported to 911 Wednesday night.
6/30/2021 - Fire struck a residence in a deep hollow on a primitive road off Lovada Road (off Broomstick Road) about 8:45 p.m. Wednesday.
First reports indicated a probability the house was struck by lightening and fully engulfed.
Those reports indicated that no one was in the house.
The Grantsville VFD responded to the call, assisted by the Smithville VFD. |
