| Junior Poling, 92 of Glenville WV, formerly of Millstone WV, departed this earthly life in the early morning hours of Monday, June 28, 2021 at the Genesis Health Care, Glenville Center following an extended illness.
He was born May 19, 1929 in Calhoun County WV, son of the late David and Orpha Schoolcraft Poling.
Junior is a United States Army veteran, having served during the Korean Conflict. He worked as a well tender in the oil and gas industry for most of his life, and in his spare time he loved living the quiet life in West Virginia, and spending time with family and friends.
Junior was united in marriage to Virginia Hicks Poling who preceded him in death.
Surviving are 3 children, Tim Poling of Millstone, Carolyn Poling of Grantsville WV, and Richard Poling also of Millstone and 3 grandchildren, Greg Missy and Mike Cain.
Also surviving are numerous, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many other wonderful family and friends.
Along with his wife and parents, Junior is preceded in death by a granddaughter, Shelia Poling, 1 brother, Guy Poling and 4 sisters, Murl Pall, Mable Marks, Orla Marks, and Ernestine Gregory.
Junior's request for cremation has been honored and a Memorial Service will be conducted later in the summer of 2021.
