No new COVID-19 deaths were reported in Fridayâs Department of Health and Human Resources update in West Virginia.
The death total for the pandemic remained at 2,876. There were 60 new cases reported in the DHHRâs update.
Active cases were down to 1,753, which is a decrease of 100 from Thursday. The stateâs cumulative positive test percentage remained at 5.04% and the daily positive percentage test rate remained at 1.41%.
Hospitalizations were down to 86 in Fridayâs update, with 27 in intensive care and 12 on a ventilator. Recoveries were at 159,175.
On the county alert map, all but two counties were green. Mingo and Lincoln counties were both yellow.
