The Calhoun Commission is expected to approve a special election Wednesday that will allow voters to approve or disapprove making Calhoun a "wet" county for the sale of alcohol.
The Par Mar Convenience Store at Arnoldsburg (formerly Speedy Mart) submitted the necessary number of signatures that requires a county-wide vote.
Calhoun is the only county in West Virginia that is still "dry."
Calhoun voters previously rejected making the county "wet" a number of years ago.
