The National Weather Service in Charleston issued a
Flash Flood Warning for
Northwestern Braxton County,
Northeastern Calhoun County, Gilmer and
South Central Ritchie County until 9 p.m. Sunday.
Flooding is occurring again in some of the same Calhoun areas affected in Friday's flooding.
Slab Fork resident David Barr said flooding on Slab Fork appeared to be equal to Friday's flooding, but was receding at 7:30 p.m.
Between 1.5 and 2 inches of
rain have fallen locally by 7 p.m., while others reported more rain.
Calhoun EMS, the Grantsville VFD and law enforcement responded to reach a flooded area of Back Fork Road, where a woman injured her shoulder attempting to move equipment in a flooded area.
The woman was transported to Minnie Hamilton Health System.
Calhoun 911 reported a large number of trees down on the highway with power and phone lines.
The power company says 411 outages in Calhoun with 4,499 customers.
The Arnoldsburg VFD responded to numerous calls, reporting Jakes Fork was flooding off US 33-119 at Letherbark.
