A flash flood struck areas of northern Calhoun June 11, 2021, with a large downpour raising the creeks in less than 30 minutes, with rain gauges collecting over one inch of water.
Damage was experienced in Ritchie, Gilmer, and Braxton.
The most damage appeared on Slab Fork, but several other areas were affected.
