The WV-DHHR reports the first Calhoun in-county death from COVID-19, a 74-year-old woman.
Several other Calhoun connected individuals have died from the virus.
A number of Calhoun residents have become critically ill from COVID-19, with epidemiologists yet to determine the long-term effects on virus survivors.
It appears that Calhoun has five new cases since last Friday.
WV DHHR confirms 190 new COVID-19 cases, 6 additional deaths on Wednesday.
Wednesday there are currently 5,341 active cases and 152,464 recovered cases in the state.
