Calhoun Circuit Court was in session Tuesday, with Judge Anita Harold Ashley presiding.
Calhoun prosecutor Nigel Jefferies reported that Joseph Southers pleaded guilty to Forgery, Uttering, and fraudulent Schemes. He faces a 3-30 year sentence. Sentencing scheduled for a later date.
Chasity Bell was scheduled for trial on fraudulent schemes. The parties moved to continue trial and reset the case for a status/entry of plea at a later date.
Darren Parsons was scheduled for trial. The State moved to continue the case. He was indicted on one count of grand larceny.
Christopher Lamp was scheduled for trial. The State moved to continue the case. Lamp had entered a not guilty plea to âconspiracy to commit delivery of a controlled substanceâ and âdelivery of a controlled substance.â
