Five COVID-19-related deaths were reported in West Virginia on Saturday along with 455 new positive cases.
It appears there are 13 new cases in Calhoun this week, with a low vaccination rate.
The state has had 2,742 virus-related deaths since the start of the pandemic.
The new positive cases pushed the stateâs active case total to 7,206. The overall positive test rate dipped slightly from 5.23% to 5.22%. The daily positive test rate was 4.16%.
Hospitalizations from the virus declined by nine since the previous update, but the number of people on ventilators increased by five. There are currently 271 people hospitalized with the virus, including 82 in intensive care and 22 people on ventilators.
