GUNSHOT - West Virginia State Police said a woman who was out coyote hunting was wounded when a rifle accidentally discharged and hit her in the leg.
Two troopers responded about 9:30 p.m. Tuesday to a Metro 911 call on Smith Hill Road in Clendenin after an accidental shooting was reported.
A woman who was hunting placed a cocked Winchester 30-30 rifle against her ATV, and the gun fell and discharged, striking her in the left leg.
State Police said the woman was transported by HealthNet to Charleston Area Medical Center General Hospital for medical treatment. No condition was immediately available. |
