The state Department of Health and Human Resources reported 277 new cases of COVID-19 and one additional death in the agencyâs Monday morning report.
Active COVID-19 cases are now at 6,955. The last time active cases reached 7,000 was Feb. 27.
The death reported Monday was that of a 42-year-old woman from Fayette County. Total deaths are now at 2,696.
Hospitalizations were at 259 Monday.
The number of state residents who have been totally vaccinated is closing in 354,000.
