West Virginiaâs active COVID-19 total continued to increase Sunday while the state added three more virus-related deaths.
Health officials reported 297 new positive cases in the past 24 hours, pushing West Virginiaâs active case total to 6,128. The overall positive test rate increased slightly to 5.27%, while the daily positive test rate finished at 5.08%.

As of Friday, hospitalizations were at 222, including 83 in intensive care and 18 people on ventilators.
