Four more COVID-19 deaths were reported in West Virginia, and the stateâs active cases and number of patients hospitalized because of the virus continue to creep back up.
West Virginiaâs death total from the pandemic is now at 2,628.
Meanwhile, the stateâs active cases continued to climb back up with 230 more cases, bringing the total to 5,811. The DHHR said 499 new cases were reported in the past 24 hours.
Hospitalizations also jumped by 19 cases and were at 231, with 81 in intensive care and 20 on a ventilator.
The stateâs cumulative positive test rate continued to inch down and was at 5.27%, a slight decrease from the previous report of 5.28%. The daily positive rate was at 3.85%, down from 4.01%.
Recoveries were at 131,311.
