Eleven coronavirus-related deaths were confirmed in West Virginia on Sunday, pushing the stateâs total during the pandemic to 2,530.
West Virginia added 319 new positive cases for the day, raising the stateâs active total slightly to 5,232. The overall positive test rate remained at 5.33% while the daily positive test rate came in at 3.48%.

As of Saturday, there were 151 hospitalizations from the virus, including 50 in intensive care and 23 people on ventilators. The data was not updated at 10 a.m. Sunday.
More than 389,000 West Virginians have now received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccines, up more than 18,000 from 10 a.m. Saturday. About 12,000 people have been fully vaccinated in the past 24 hours, raising the stateâs total to 232,363.
