FRIDAY WV COVID-19 REPORT - 287 NEW CASES

The West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources confirmed 287 new COVID-19 cases and nine additional deaths in its report on Friday.

The report from the DHHR stated that as of 10:30 a.m. on Friday, March 5, there have been a total of 2,218,488 (+10,812) laboratory results received for COVID-19, with 132,964 (+287) total cases and 2,318 (+9) of those cases resulting in deaths.

According to the DHHR’s COVID-19 dashboard, there are currently 6,144 (-174) active cases and 124,502 (+452) recovered cases in the state.
