The West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources confirmed 232 new COVID-19 cases and eight additional deaths in its report on Wednesday.
The DHHR confirmed 136 new COVID-19 cases and one additional death in its report on Tuesday.
The report from the DHHR stated that as of 10 a.m. on Wednesday, March 3, there have been a total of 2,198,226 (+8,189) laboratory results received for COVID-19, with 132,416 (+232) total cases and 2,309 (+8) of those cases resulting in deaths.
According to the DHHRâs COVID-19 dashboard, there are currently 6,451 (-241) active cases and 123,656 (+465) recovered cases in the state.

According to the dashboard, as of Wednesday morning, 302,793 (+2,025) first doses of the vaccine have been administered, and 199,611 (+1,852) people have been fully vaccinated.
