The West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources confirmed 289 new COVID-19 cases and nine additional deaths in its report on Wednesday.

The report from the DHHR stated that as of 10 a.m. on Wednesday, February 17, there have been a total of 2,080,541 (+8,179) laboratory results received for COVID-19, with 128,405 (+289) total cases and 2,225 (+9) of those cases resulting in deaths.
According to the DHHRâs COVID-19 dashboard, there are currently 10,522 (-447) active cases and 115,658 (+726) recovered cases in the state.
