| The West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources confirmed 1,137 new COVID-19 cases and 17 additional deaths in its report on Saturday.
Calhoun appears to have 14 cases during the past week, 18 new cases the previous week and 28 new cases the week before.
The DHHR confirmed 998 new COVID-19 cases and seven additional deaths in its report on Friday.
The report from the DHHR stated that as of 10 a.m. on Saturday, January 23, there have been a total of 1,831,351 (+10,942) laboratory results received for COVID-19, with 114,752 (+1,137) total cases and 1,872 (+17) of those cases resulting in deaths.
According to the DHHRâs COVID-19 dashboard, there are currently 24,856 (-486) active cases and 88,024 (+1,607) recovered cases in the state.
