West Virginia has had 20 more coronavirus-related deaths, according to Mondayâs report from the state Department of Health and Human Resources.
The death total for the state is 1,396.
A 73-year-old man from Roane County has died, added to several deaths in that county.
Health officials confirmed 828 new cases Monday. The overall positive test rate was 5.07% Monday, up from 5.03%, while daily positive test rate was 13.81%, down from 14.03% Sunday.
The total of active cases in West Virginia is now 27,362.
Hospitalizations were at 799 Monday in the Mountain State, down six from the previous day. There were 205 in intensive care and 91 patients on a ventilator -- both totals up slightly from the previous day.
State officials reported 575 more doses of the coronavirus vaccines have been administered since the Sunday update. West Virginia has administered 52,221 doses so far and has received 103,375 doses in total.
There are currently 63,128 people who have recovered from COVID-19 in West Virginia.
