Calhoun County Schools will sponsor 1300 Blessing Boxes of food through a grant received to curb food insecurities for residents of Calhoun County.
Boxes will be distributed one per family physically present in a drive-thru style distribution at Calhoun Middle High School on December 23, 2020 from noon til 2 p.m.
Boxes will include: turkey, potatoes, fruit, green beans, cheese, salad, and milk. Items are subject to substitution based on availability.
Participants are asked to wear masks and socially distance and remain in their cars and should lift the trunk or hatch of their vehicle prior to approaching the distribution site.
If there are individuals that cannot pick up, requests should be made by 4 p.m. December 21, 2020 to  jlbennett@k12.wv.us providing full name of family, address and person requesting to pick up. The number of boxes able to be distributed for delivery will be limited. Available while supplies last.
