A truck plunged into a pond near the intersection of State Rt. 16 and the mouth of Crummies Creek (south of Arnoldsburg) at 1 a.m. Friday morning.
The truck landed about 20 feet out into the pond, with one or more occupants extracting themselves.
State Trooper J. B. Hunt, responding to the accident, reportedly encountered a person along State Rt. 16, indicting he had been into an altercation with another individual.
The officer requested Calhoun EMS to come to Speedy Mart for possible medical care.
Reportedly one or two occupants of the truck fled the scene of the accident.
The Arnoldsburg VFD responded to the incident.
