The West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources confirmed 976 new COVID-19 cases and 23 additional deaths in its report on Tuesday, a daily record of deaths in WV.
One new active case reported for Calhoun on Tuesday.
Calhoun had 31 active cases Monday.
The DHHR announced 845 new cases and six deaths on Monday.
The report from the DHHR stated that as of 10 a.m. on December 1, there have been a total of 1,141,770 (10,814) laboratory results received for COVID-19, with 48,818 (+976) total cases and 758 (+23) of those cases resulting in deaths.
According to the DHHRâs COVID-19 dashboard, there are currently 16,921 (+134) active cases and 31,139 (+819) recovered cases in the state.
