WEDNESDAY WV COVID-19 REPORT: 394 NEW CASES - Huntington Rehab Had Nine Deaths, 95 Cases

U.S. tops 100,000 coronavirus cases in one day, a new record.

Three new COVID-19 deaths were reported Wednesday by the West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources.

This raises the state’s COVID-19 death total to 472 since the start of the pandemic.

West Virginia added 394 new COVID-19 cases Wednesday, for a total of 25,987 cases.

The state’s active case total is at 5,663, which is slightly higher than Tuesday.

The overall positive test rate slightly increased from Tuesday to 2.97%. The daily rate jumped up from 3.99% to 4.88%.

There are 269 residents hospitalized with the virus, including 88 people in intensive care and 33 on ventilators.

Huntington Health and Rehabilitation Center reports nine deaths and 95 residents positive for COVID-19 since the pandemic.
