| KANAWHA SHOOTING - One person was injured in a shooting Thursday night in Cross Lanes.
The shooting was reported just after 11 p.m. along Radio Way, according to Metro 911 dispatchers.
Kanawha County Sheriff Mike Rutherford said Levi West was at the home when Cameron Harless, 25, of Charleston came to the home and got into an argument.
"Mr. Harless pulled a handgun on Mr. West. Mr. West had a ball bat, backed him out of the house to his car at which time Mr. West struck the car a few times with the ball bat. Mr. Harless exited the car and shot Mr. West in the leg and he was transported by private vehicle to the hospital," Rutherford said.
Harless was arrested at a home on Quarrier Street in Charleston with the help of Charleston police following the shooting and charged with wanton endangerment.
The Kanawha County Sheriffâs Office is investigating.
