| A elderly Elkview woman is not facing charges as of Friday after deputies say she shot and killed her long-time husband during a domestic dispute.
The Kanawha County Sheriff's Office says the 85-year-old woman shot her husband, who was 89, around 1:40 a.m. at a home along Coco Road.
"The female did have injuries to her arms and as a result of the domestic, she took a gun and shot her husband and he was deceased at the scene," Sheriff Mike Rutherford said.
Rutherford said the case would be handed over to the prosecutor's office to determine if charges were warranted.
