Michael Israel Carter, 41, of Spencer, died Saturday, October 17, 2020, in Roane General Hospital, Spencer.
He was a laborer, a 1997 graduate of Roane County High School and a veteran of the USMC. His pastimes included hunting, camping and spending time with his fur babies, Zoey and Precious.
Survivors include his wife, Danielle M. Deel Carter; parents, Carla and Justin Hicks; sister and brother-in-law, Clarissa and Scott Davis of Leicester NC; niece, Kaitlyn; grandmother, Jean Marie Tidd; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, October 22 at the Otto Cemetery, Spencer, with the Rev. Daniel R. Whited officiating.
The visitation will be one hour before the service at the cemetery.
John H. Taylor Funeral Home, Spencer, is in charge of arrangements.
