The National Weather Service in Charleston Friday upgraded the freeze watch for most of the region to a freeze warning, including Calhoun.
It will be in effect from 2 a.m. to 10 a.m. Saturday for portions of southeast Ohio, northeast Kentucky and most of West Virginia.
Temperatures of 29 to 32 degrees are expected in the lowlands and mid-20s to low 30s in the mountains.
Counties in West Virginia under the warning include Kanawha, Putnam, Cabell, Wayne, Mason, Jackson, Wood, Pleasants, Tyler, Lincoln, Roane, Wirt, Calhoun, Ritchie, Doddridge, Mingo, Logan, Boone, Clay, Braxton, Gilmer, Lewis, Harrison, Taylor, McDowell, Wyoming, Upshur, Barbour, Raleigh, Fayette, Nicholas, Webster, Pocahontas and Randolph.
