The Calhoun County Commission will have a special meeting on Wednesday at 4:00 to discuss bids for engineering firms' proposals for a ARC grant, related to Calhoun's public water systems.

The commission had approved a request from the Mid-Ohio Valley Regional Council to advertise for bids, a grant proposal from the Appalachian Regional Council for a infrastructure study of Calhoun's public service districts, related to ongoing financial problems of the Mt. Zion PSD and WV Public Service Commissions concerns about maintaining public water in Calhoun.
The study is expected to make recommendations on consolidating or re-configuring county PSDs and the Grantsville water system. |
