Charles "Charlie" Owen Malona, Jr., 77, of Grantsville WV passed away Sunday, September 13, 2020 at Marietta Memorial Hospital, Marietta, Ohio.
He was born December 5, 1943 in Grantsville WV to the late Charles Owen and Ruth Westfall Malona.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by three sisters, Ernestine Carson, Doris Roberts, and Joy Bush.
He is survived by one brother, Jerry (Phyllis) Malona and several nieces and nephews.
Charlie retired in 1999 from Calhoun County School Board with 30+ years of service. He was a member of Knotts Memorial United Methodist Church in Grantsville. Charlie was a loving brother and uncle to his nieces and nephews. He loved hunting, fishing, and old country music. He will be truly missed by all.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 16, 2020, at Pleasant Hill Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Hill, WV with Pastor Jerry Malona officiating.
Service will be conducted by Stump Funeral Home & Cremation, Inc., Grantsville. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 651, Grantsville, WV 26147.
