A motorcyclist crashed near Sand Ridge east on US 33-119 Sunday afternoon about 4:45 p.m.
First reports indicated that the driver, reportedly from out of the area, sustained some serious injuries.
The accident happened in an area near where numerous cyclists have previously crashed.
An ambulance from Roane county responded to the scene with the State Police, and the Arnoldsburg VFD assisting.
The man was life-flighted to a medical center from the Arnoldsburg Community Park.
4x4 CRASHES ON NICUT
A vehicle crashed late Sunday on Nicut, likely with a driver and passenger, landing upside-down.
Calhoun EMS went to the scene and reportedly did transport anyone for treatment.
State Police arrested Michael Lee Collins, 53, charging him with DUI-1, taking him to Central Regional Jail.
