| UPDATE - West Virginia State Police released the name of the 10-year-old boy who died in an ATV crash in Clay County.
A funeral service will be held at Stump Funeral Home & Cremation, Inc., Arnoldsburg, WV on Saturday, August 29, 2020, at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Roger Carter officiating. Riggs A. Carter died after an ATV flipped over in the Walker Creek Road area in Nebo, according to a news release from State Police.
State Police responded Tuesday and spoke with the boyâs father, who said his son left at 8:30 p.m. Monday to travel across the road to stay with his grandparents. At about 7 a.m. Tuesday, the father discovered the ATV flipped over in a field and the boy was pinned underneath.
No foul play is suspected.
The investigation continues.

ORIGINAL STORY - A child in Clay County has died after an ATV crash.
Clay 911 confirmed a 10-year-old boy was located around 7 p.m. Tuesday after apparently rolling an ATV down a hillside.
The individual who found the boy called 911.
The boy died from his injuries.
West Virginia State Police and Clay County deputies are investigating the crash.
