A criminal complaint says Lawson was given a debit card by Bonnie Strouse, who was hospitalized and being transported home by a neighbor, being given permission to obtain funds for payment of the trip.

When Strouse received her bank statement she noticed several significant withdraws from several Grantsville business locations, amounting to about $800.

Lawson, in the criminal complaint, stated she was a "heroin addict."

State Police in Calhoun arrested Brian Keith Smith, 26, of Frozen Run, Shock, early Sunday charging him with possession of a controlled substance and possession of marijuana.

He is in Central Regional Jail with bond set at $20,000.00 Cash Only.

Cpl. J. B. Hunt arrested Smith at the Letherbark Church, US 33-119, who was in a parked vehicle stating "the accused appeared to be under the influence of a controlled substance."

Smith, according to the complaint, advised the officer he was under the influence of meth, the officer being given permission to search the vehicle.
