The Calhoun County Laubach Literacy Council will be presenting a volunteer tutor training
workshop at the Calhoun-Gilmer Career Center March 21 and 22, 2003.
Training runs from
5:30-8:30 p.m. Friday evening and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday.
Laubach Literacy is an international volunteer literacy organization that provides
one-on-one tutoring in the areas of basic reading, writing, and math skills. Anyone
interested may call Shelly Allen at the Career Center, 354-6151. The training is free of
charge and open to the interested public.
