A confirmed COVID-19 death at a nursing home in Kanawha County was not included in updated numbers the state Department of Health and Human Resources released on Monday.
The report shows a new case in Roane County.
The DHHR information indicated confirmations of 8,632 COVID-19 cases and 160 deaths, a number that was unchanged from Sunday, out of 360,669 total tests conducted statewide since March.
As of Monday morning, West Virginiaâs daily COVID-19 infection rate was 1.18 percent with a cumulative infection rate of 2.39 percent.
Active cases numbered 1,941.
Statewide, 134 people were hospitalized on Monday, according to DHHR, with 50 of those people in intensive care.
Logan County remained the only county designated as âred,â an indication of what was determined to be âsubstantialâ coronavirus spread which limited school-related activities.
