| HUNTING RIGHTS MURDERS - A Greenbrier County grand jury has indicted two people in connection with the murder of two people that were killed in argument over a hunting lease.
Terri Storer, 46, was indicted last week for two counts of murder. Randy Barnhart, 50, was indicted on two counts of accessory after the fact to murder.
On November 29, 2019, West Virginia State Police said Jeremiah and Jennifer Thomas were shot and killed in the incident that occurred near the Greenbrier and Nicholas county line on Coleman Road in Williamsburg.
According to the indictment, Storer "willfully, maliciously, deliberately and unlawfully" murdered both victims.
The indictment goes on to say that Barnhart helped Storer after the murder "knowing that she had committed the offense of murder" with the intent that Storer "avoid or escape detention, arrest, trial or punishment." Prosecutors say Barnhart fabricated facts and made "material misrepresentations of facts" to law enforcement.
The indictment was based on testimony before the grand jury by Senior Trooper B.J. Borsman on Aug. 5.
Greenbrier County Prosecuting Patrick Via previously said they were waiting on lab results from several pieces of ballistic evidence before proceeding with the case.
Storer and Barnhart were both taken into custody on Sunday. Storer is being held without bond at the Eastern Regional Jail. Barnhart was released on a $25,000 bond.
