Health officials in West Virginia reported 93 new coronavirus cases Saturday as the state's daily positive test rate finished at 2.83%.
The state DHHR also announced it is transitioning to reporting COVID-19 updates once a day beginning Saturday. The next coronavirus update for West Virginia will be 10 a.m. Sunday.
The state's number of active cases increased to 1,761 as the overall positive test rate moved to 2.35%, according to the West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources.
As of Friday evening, there were 108 hospitalization in the state due to the virus, including 39 in intensive care and 18 on ventilators.

West Virginia has had a total of 6,735 positive tests while at least 4,858 people have recovered.
No new deaths were reported Saturday, keeping the state's death toll at 116.
