As the state heads into the July Fourth holiday weekend, West Virginia had an additional 74 positive coronavirus cases Thursday.
Yesterday 74 new cases.
The state Department of Health and Human Resources said in a news release the state had a total of 3,053 virus cases as of 5 p.m.
No new deaths were reported, and the death total remained at 93.
More than 178,000 tests have been given, and the positive test rate was at 1.71 percent.
Recoveries were listed at 2,380, and the number of active cases was at 580.
Thursdayâs data shows that 23 are hospitalized, with 10 in intensive care and five on ventilators.
